Joining MOSAIC is simple and designed to fit into your regular care
Step 1
Share your heart data
Step 2
Complete a short survey online
Step 3
Provide a single blood sample
That’s it. Just 3 easy steps – no extra procedures, no added appointments.
From there, we take care of the rest. Our part in MOSAIC will be to de-identify and securely store your data, use advanced computing to find patterns that typical care can miss, and develop new tests, new treatments and earlier care.
Together, we can build a future where heart disease is detected earlier and care is personalized, so you and your community can live healthier, longer lives.
MOSAIC: Bringing Precision Heart Care to All
Better Heart Care, Closer to Home
Heart disease affects people everywhere, but not everyone has the same access to care. MOSAIC is working to make heart care both personalized and easy to access—wherever you live. We bring together heart ultrasound, blood tests, genetics, and clinical information, then use secure, advanced computing to find new patterns that typical care can miss.
The goal is simple: earlier answers and better-fitting tests and treatments, available at the point of care, from big city hospitals to rural communities and remote clinics.
Participation is straightforward, involving just one extra blood draw, with strong privacy protections and support from our team at every step.

Join thousands of people across British Columbia who are helping us build a healthier future for every community.
The MOSAIC Study is working to improve how we detect, prevent, and treat heart disease — especially in communities that have been underserved or face barriers to care. By combining heart imaging, genetics, and other health information, we aim to create more personalized ways to understand and manage heart health.
We’re inviting 8,000 participants from diverse backgrounds — including rural, urban, and Indigenous communities — to take part when they come for a clinically indicated echocardiogram at one of 16 hospital-based echo labs across our province.
Who can join:
- Adults 19 years and older who are having an echocardiogram
- Able to provide informed consent
Who cannot join:
- There are no other exclusions — everyone is welcome to participate.
Together, we can develop better tools for early prevention, diagnosis, and treatment — and build a future where every community and every heart are cared for.
